Arunachal BJP celebrates NDA’s electoral victory in West Bengal, Assam, Puducherry

ITANAGAR, May 4: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Arunachal Pradesh unit, on Monday joined nationwide celebrations marking the electoral victory of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry. The event was held at the party’s state headquarters in Itanagar with enthusiastic participation from leaders and party workers.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu attended the programme, accompanied by State BJP president Kaling Moyong, Rajya Sabha MP Nabam Rebia, legislators, and other party functionaries.

Addressing the gathering, Khandu described the victory—particularly in West Bengal—as historic and beyond expectations, stating that it reflects public confidence in governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP leadership. He congratulated party workers for their dedication and said the mandate would accelerate development and strengthen regional connectivity, especially in the Northeast.

He also noted that most Northeastern states are now governed by the BJP, indicating growing public trust in the party’s vision. Khandu expressed optimism that improved political alignment would enhance trade, connectivity, and economic cooperation with West Bengal and neighbouring regions. He added that pending issues with Assam would be resolved amicably.

Speaking on the occasion, Kaling Moyong credited the victory to the tireless efforts and sacrifices of party workers. He urged karyakartas to continue working with commitment, inspired by the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, and to focus on nation-building and inclusive development.

The celebration, marked by slogans and enthusiastic participation, concluded with renewed resolve among party workers to strengthen the party’s outreach and developmental agenda.
