Itanagar, May 5: Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday called on Governor Lt Gen (Retd) KT Parnaik at Lok Bhavan, where the two leaders had a comprehensive review of the state’s development trajectory with a focus on monsoon preparedness and timely execution of ongoing projects.
During the meeting, the Governor stressed strict adherence to planning and execution of infrastructure projects, emphasizing the need to maintain timelines and uphold high quality standards. He noted that meticulous planning and efficient implementation are essential to ensure development initiatives deliver timely and tangible benefits to the people, without delays or cost overruns.
Underscoring the transformative potential of technology, the Governor advised leveraging modern tools such as geospatial technologies integrated with artificial intelligence for scientific monitoring of security dynamics, real-time tracking of project progress, and data-driven planning for future initiatives.
He also sought the state government’s support in promoting social initiatives, including encouraging amateur photography clubs, mapping orphanages, and supporting NGOs such as Let's Speak Arunachal.
On the security front, both the Governor and the Chief Minister reviewed the law and order situation in the Tirap-Changlang-Longding (TCL) districts. They emphasized the urgency of implementing border fencing to strengthen national security and enhance public confidence.
The discussion also covered key areas of social development, including youth empowerment, tourism promotion, encouragement of sports and games, and intensifying cleanliness drives across the state.
The Chief Minister apprised the Governor of the progress made by various state departments, reaffirming the government’s commitment to balanced development and effective governance.
