Khandu, Mein congratulate Himanta on taking oath as Assam CM

Itanagar, May 12: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein have extended heartfelt congratulations to Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Assam for the second consecutive term.

In his congratulatory message, Khandu expressed optimism that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the new leadership in Assam, the pace of development across the Northeast would accelerate further.

He stated that the new journey would bring progress, prosperity, improved connectivity, and renewed opportunities for the people of Assam and the entire Northeastern region. Khandu also wished Dr Sarma a successful and impactful tenure ahead.

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein also conveyed his heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Himanta Biswa Sarma on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Assam for a second term.

Mein expressed confidence that under Sarma’s leadership, the NDA government would usher in unprecedented development and growth in Assam. He also congratulated all the Cabinet Ministers of the new government in the state.

Noting that Assam today stands as a strong pillar of growth and transformation in the Northeast, Mein said that under the visionary guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Assam and the entire Northeastern region would continue to move forward with greater strength, stability, and prosperity.
