NEW DELHI/Itanagar, May 13: The Supreme Court of India has launched “Samadhan Samaroh 2026,” a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting speedy and amicable settlement of disputes through participative justice and doorstep delivery of legal services.
The campaign, which commenced on April 21, 2026, will culminate in a Special Lok Adalat scheduled to be held from August 21 to 23, 2026. The initiative is part of the Supreme Court Action for Mediated Adjudication and Disputes Harmonization Across Nation (SAMADHAN SAMAROH), which seeks to resolve pending cases through consent-based settlement mechanisms.
The apex court has appealed to advocates, litigants and stakeholders to actively participate in the process. To ensure wider accessibility and convenience, parties may attend proceedings either physically or virtually through an online platform.
To facilitate participation, the apex court has introduced an online application system. Interested parties can apply through the designated Google Form, which is also accessible via the official website of the Supreme Court of India. The last date for submission of applications is May 31, 2026.
A dedicated One Stop Centre (War Room) has also been established within the Supreme Court complex to assist applicants and provide necessary information. Helpline numbers 011-23112428 and 011-23112528, along with email support at speciallokadalat2026@sci.nic.in, have been made available for assistance.
Through this initiative, the Supreme Court aims to significantly reduce pendency of cases and strengthen alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, reaffirming its commitment to efficient, accessible and people-centric justice delivery.
