Walong, May 14: The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Spear Corps visited Dao Division and reviewed the operational readiness of troops deployed along the country’s Northern borders.
During the visit, the Corps Commander assessed the prevailing security situation and interacted with officers and personnel stationed in forward areas. He appreciated the high morale, professionalism and unwavering commitment displayed by the troops in safeguarding the nation’s frontiers under challenging conditions.
The GOC also paid tribute at the Helmet Top Memorial in Walong Valley, honouring the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in service of the nation.
The visit reaffirmed the Indian Army’s continued focus on maintaining operational preparedness and high standards of vigilance along the strategically important border areas.
