Keyi Panyor admin reviews governance challenges, dev priorities at CMO meet

YACHULI, May 15: A high-level review meeting on governance, infrastructure, and administrative preparedness in Keyi Panyor was held at the Chief Minister’s Office with participation of MLA Toko Tatung, Deputy Commissioner Shweta Nagarkoti, and Superintendent of Police Angad Mehta. The meeting focused on the challenges and opportunities involved in building the newly created district from the ground up, while ensuring efficient governance and public service delivery for nearly 25,000 residents.

During the review, officials highlighted encouraging progress made under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), through which several families have already been provided housing support. The meeting also reviewed the ongoing development of the new District Secretariat, considered a key administrative infrastructure project for the district.

At the same time, the leadership candidly discussed the administrative and logistical challenges affecting governance in the district. Among the major concerns raised were the shortage of manpower, vacant Group A and C posts, inadequate vehicles for departmental heads, and poor digital connectivity in many remote villages.

Officials stated that strengthening manpower and improving mobility remain essential for ensuring efficient implementation of schemes and bringing governance closer to the people.

The issue of digital connectivity was also extensively discussed, with officials noting that several of the district’s 224 villages continue to face communication and internet-related challenges. The leadership stressed that improved connectivity is crucial for successful implementation of e-governance initiatives and effective delivery of welfare schemes.

The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to transforming Keyi Panyor into a fully functional and people-centric district administration capable of delivering accessible, transparent, and responsive governance.
