ITANAGAR, May 16: Chief Minister Pema Khandu has said that Arunachal Pradesh has achieved a significant milestone in the CBSE Class XII examinations for the academic year 2025-26 by recording an impressive overall pass percentage of 84.6 per cent.
Describing it as a major academic achievement, the Chief Minister said the state has registered a remarkable improvement of 22.8 percentage points from the 61.8 per cent pass percentage recorded four years ago.
Khandu credited the achievement to the hard work and dedication of students, support from parents, commitment of teachers, and the sustained efforts of the Education Department in strengthening the education system across the state.
He congratulated all successful students and said the steady rise in performance reflects the growing academic potential of Arunachal Pradesh.
Highlighting the state’s consistent year-on-year progress in CBSE Class XII results over the last four academic years, Khandu noted that the gap between Arunachal Pradesh and the national average has reduced sharply from nearly 26 percentage points in 2022-23 to around one percentage point in 2025-26.
The Chief Minister also pointed out that Arunachal Pradesh has surpassed the Guwahati Region in the 2025-26 CBSE Class XII results, calling it a strong indicator of the state’s improving educational standards and regional academic progress. He said the achievement underlines the collective efforts of students, teachers, parents, and the Education Department in building a stronger education ecosystem in the state.
