ASVS organizes seven-day Sanskrit Teachers’ Training at Naharlagun

Naharlagun, May 17: Arunachal Shiksha Vikas Samiti (ASVS), under the aegis of Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan, successfully organised a seven-day “Sanskrit Teachers’ Training 2026” programme in collaboration with Samskrita Bharati, North East, from May 11 to 17 at the ASVS Training Centre, Kamak Nagar, Pachin Colony here.

The training programme brought together Sanskrit and Hindi teachers, head teachers, and educators from Govt and private schools across different states. Participants included teachers from ASVS-run Vidya Niketans, EMRS institutions, Little Star School, Vidya Sagar Academy, and several other reputed educational institutions.

President awardee Nang Ekathani Mounglang, Headmistress of Government Secondary School, Pachin, also took part in the programme.

Resource persons comprising professors, guest faculties, and research scholars from Rajiv Gandhi University and Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University conducted sessions on Sanskrit teaching methodologies, language skills, cultural values, and educational practices aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

ASVS stated that the initiative was aimed at strengthening Sanskrit education in view of the new CBSE guidelines introducing compulsory language studies for Classes IX and X from the academic session 2026–27.

The valedictory function was held on Sunday at Abotani Vidya Niketan. Addressing the participants, ASVS Secretary Tumge Lollen appreciated the teachers for their enthusiastic participation and urged them to dedicate themselves towards the promotion and preservation of Sanskrit language and India’s rich cultural heritage.

ASVS also informed that trained Sanskrit teachers have been appointed in Vidya Niketan institutions across Arunachal Pradesh following the successful completion of the programme.
