Seva Aapke Dwar 2.0 brings Govt services to remote villages in Tawang

TAWANG, May 19: The Tawang District Administration on Tuesday successfully organized “Seva Aapke Dwar 2.0” at Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Awasiya Vidyalaya (NSCBAV), Sazo under Lungla circle, bringing essential Govt services directly to villagers at the grassroots level.

Altogether, 380 residents from Sazo, Poito, Dugumba, Kungba and nearby villages were benefited from the camp.

The camp was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Namgyal Angmo in the presence of Lungla ADC Tashi Dhondup, Circle Officers Tsetan Droma and Phomai Wangshu, along with Heads of Offices from Tawang and Lungla.

As many as 20 Govt departments participated in the camp, offering a wide range of citizen-centric services and awareness programmes. Major services included Aadhaar enrolment, Jan Sunvai, awareness on welfare schemes, free health check-ups, veterinary services, and registration under AB-PMJAY and e-Shram schemes.

The Horticulture Department distributed budded orange saplings to villagers, while the Textile & Handicrafts Dept displayed and facilitated the sale of local handicraft products to promote indigenous skills and livelihoods.

During the Jan Sunvai session, the DC personally heard grievances and concerns raised by villagers and discussed possible solutions with the concerned departmental officers on the spot.

Addressing the gathering, the DC said Seva Aapke Dwar camps are aimed at ensuring easier access to government services for rural citizens. She urged villagers to take full advantage of such initiatives and freely approach officials regarding welfare schemes and developmental needs.

She also thanked the teaching staff and students of NSCBAV Sazo for hosting the programme and appreciated the efforts of all departments and officials involved in making the camp successful.

Earlier, the SMC chairperson Sonam Topgyal expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Pema Khandu and the State Govt for launching the Seva Aapke Dwar initiative, which he said had significantly improved access to Govt services in remote villages. He also appealed for a dedicated playground for the school and separate hostel facilities for boys and girls.

In his welcome address, headmaster in-charge Sang Dorjee stressed the importance of education and appealed to parents to cooperate with the school administration to ensure quality education for children.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the hostel and infrastructure facilities of NSCBAV Sazo and the under-construction academic building of Upper Primary School Hoongla. She also visited Government Secondary School Jemeithang to inspect the AI and Robotics Laboratory and other ongoing infrastructure projects.

Later, the DC accompanied by ADC, DDSE Hridar Phuntsok and SMC chairperson, inspected the infrastructure and hostel facilities of NSCBAV Sazo and the under-construction academic building of Upper Primary School Hoongla. She subsequently proceeded to Jemeithang to inspect the AI and Robotics Laboratory and other ongoing infrastructure projects at Govt Secondary School, Jemeithang. (DIPRO)
