Arunachal athletes excel at Kudo nationals in Pune with 6 medals

ITANAGAR, May 20: Arunachal athletes excelled at the ongoing 4th Kudo National Championship Cup 2026-27 Pune, Mahararhtra by clinching 6 medals, including 2 gold & 4 bronze.

The Arunachal team with 11 participants delivered an impressive performance at the 4th Kudo National Championship Cup being held at Pune, Maharashtra from May 16 to 22, bringing pride to the State with a total of six medals.

The gold medal winners are Hui Tajum (above 31 men, Physical Index -250), and Yapi Paksok (above 21 female, PI -250), while bronze medal winners include Tam Lapang (above 21 men, PI -250), Tarak Dolu Bai (above 31 men, PI -250), Gii Doke (above 21 female, PI -220), and Tabit Taggu (above 21 men, PI -210).

The team participated in the Pune nationals under the guidance of Arunachal Kudo Association (AKA) president Hura Gambo Tarh, and general secretary Tater Hui, and Coach cum Manager Techi Tagung. Their leadership and support played a vital role in the success of the athletes at the national event, said a press note from the AKA.
