BOMDILA, May 20: A coordination-cum-orientation meeting on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls was held on Wednesday at Kameng Club, Bomdila under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer (DEO) Dr Dilip Kumar.
The meeting was attended by Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), Booth Level Officers (BLOs), representatives of political parties, Panchayat members and senior officials.
Addressing the gathering, DEO Dr Kumar highlighted the importance of coordination among election officials, political parties and voters to ensure smooth and transparent electoral processes. He urged all stakeholders to maintain effective coordination while discharging election-related duties and responsibilities.
A detailed PowerPoint presentation on the Special Intensive Revision was delivered by ADC-cum-Deputy DEO Ashok Tajo, who explained the procedures and objectives of the exercise.
Tajo instructed all EROs to ensure that no eligible citizen is left out of the voter registration process while also ensuring that no ineligible person is included in the electoral rolls.
The meeting concluded with an in-house discussion involving EROs, AEROs, BLOs, Booth Level Agents (BLAs) and representatives of political parties. (DIPRO)
