ITANAGAR, May 26: In a significant political development, former MLA from Seppa West Assembly Constituency, Tani Loffa, has rejoined the Bharatiya Janata Party during a programme held at the party’s state headquarters here on Tuesday.
The joining programme was attended by BJP State president Kaling Moyong, Home Minister Mama Natung and several senior party leaders and karyakartas.
A prominent leader from the Nyishi community, Tani Loffa is a two-term former MLA from the Seppa West seat and has previously served as State president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. He has also held important organisational roles, including general secretary of the All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU), besides being associated with various social organisations.
Welcoming him back to the party fold, Moyong described the move as a “ghar wapsi” (homecoming) and acknowledged Loffa’s long-standing association with the BJP and his understanding of the party’s ideology. He urged him to continue serving the people with dedication under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pema Khandu.
Home Minister Natung appealed to Loffa to share his political and organisational experience with the younger generation of BJP workers to further strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
Acknowledging the warm welcome by the party leadership, Loffa reaffirmed his commitment towards serving the people and contributing to the vision of a developed and empowered Arunachal Pradesh.
The programme witnessed the presence of several senior leaders, party functionaries, and karyakartas, marking it as a moment of unity and renewed organisational strength for the party in the region.
