ITANAGAR, May 29: The NSS Cell in collaboration with IQAC Cell of Dera Natung Govt College (DNGC) today successfully organized a career counselling-cum-certificate distribution programme at its conference hall here.
Graced by DNGC Principal Dr MQ Khan as resource person along with three NSS Programme Officers of DNGC - Botem Moyong (Asstt Prof Mathematics), Dr Kipa Roni (Asstt Prof Education) and Dr Tarh Achi (Asstt Prof Physics), the event saw active participation of 125 senior NSS volunteers from all 14 departments of DNGC, who were awarded NSS certificates for their outstanding commitment, dedication and unwavering services.
In his address, Dr Khan focused on the importance of career development and provided guidance on various avenues available to the volunteers. He shed light on prestigious entrance exams like RGUCET and other competitive examinations that can open doors to promising career paths. While addressing the pivotal question “What’s beyond graduation?” - Dr Khan urged students to look past traditional choices and explore specialized fields of their own choices. He exhorted students to be highly career-conscious, purposeful, and goal-oriented.
The Principal strongly advised students to choose their own career by keeping their happiness in mind and not to compromise it. “True satisfaction of life comes when you pursue a career of your own choice, not what others dictate or recommend,” he said.
Additionally, he stressed the need for responsible use of social media and the avoidance of other distractions that could hinder their progress.
Dr Khan also interacted with the students and discussed on the matters related to New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 by providing crucial clarity on the topic.
