ITANAGAR, May 31: The five-day YuvaSangam Phase VI under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat wrapped up successfully with an enriching cultural exchange programme for the Uttar Pradesh delegates in Arunachal Pradesh, while simultaneously heralding the beginning of a similar journey for the Arunachal contingent to UP.
The fifth and last day commenced with the continuation of the exposure visit to Ziro Valley, where the delegates visited the scenic Sikhe Lake and enjoyed its serene natural surroundings. This was followed by a visit to Kasa Botanical Park, where the participants explored the picturesque landscape and reflected upon the experiences and learnings they had gained during their stay in Arunachal Pradesh.
Following the completion of the Ziro excursion, the delegates returned to NERIST carrying cherished memories and valuable insights gathered throughout the YuvaSangam programme.
Prior to the valedictory programme, a plantation drive was organized at the NERIST campus. Delegates from UP, along with a host of dignitaries, faculty members, and officials of NERIST, participated in planting saplings as a symbol of friendship, environmental responsibility, and the enduring bond established through YuvaSangam.
The valedictory programme, held at the Silver Jubilee Hall of NERIST, featured experience-sharing sessions by the delegates, who expressed their gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by NERIST and the people of Arunachal Pradesh. Participants also reflected on the cultural, educational, and social experiences gained during their five-day immersion in the State.
Toko Babu, Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Complex, the chief guest, encouraged the delegates from Arunachal to make the most of their forthcoming educational exposure visit to UP. He also urged the delegates from UP to serve as ambassadors of Arunachal upon their return and to share constructive feedback that could contribute to the continued development and improvement of the State.
Prof Narendranath S, Director NERIST, highlighted the importance of YuvaSangam in promoting national integration, cultural understanding, mutual respect, and meaningful engagement among the youth of India.
The programme was also graced by Prof S K Nayak, Vice Chancellor Rajiv Gandhi University, and Prof Mohan V Aware, Director National Institute of Technology-Arunachal Pradesh, Jote.
