3rd batch of APPSC prelims facilitation program begins

ROING, Jun 2: The third batch of the APPSC (Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission) prelims facilitation programme commenced today at the RIWATCH campus here.

Jointly organized by RIWATCH (Research Institute of World’s Ancient Traditions, Cultures and Heritage), Roing and Jnana Prabodhini Competitive Examinations Centre (JPCEC), Pune, the 14-week programme aims to support civil services aspirants from Arunachal Pradesh in their preparation for the APPSCC examination.

The inaugural programme was conducted in a hybrid mode.

Pujom Buchi, Deputy Superintendent of Police Lower Dibang Valley, attended the programme as chief guest, while Mohini Jagtap, a UPSC 2025 achiever, addressed the participants as the key speaker.

Sharing insights from his own APPSCCE preparation journey, Buchi encouraged the aspirants to remain resilient in the face of challenges. Emphasizing the importance of determination and perseverance, he spoke about the need to stay committed to one’s goals despite difficulties.

In her address, Jagtap spoke about the importance of the ‘Three Ts’ — Time, Temperament and Trust. She explained how effective time management, emotional balance, and confidence in the preparation process help aspirants navigate challenges and perform to the best of their abilities. She motivated the students to remain focused and consistent throughout their preparation journey.

Both speakers shared their personal experiences and practical insights, providing valuable guidance to the participants.

Vijay Swami, Executive Director RIWATCH; Dr Savita Kulkarni, HoD JPCEC; and Dr Vivek Kulkarni, chief mentor JPCEC; emphasized the importance of clarity of purpose, disciplined effort, and systematic study in achieving success in competitive examinations.

The inaugural session was also virtually attended by Prashant Lokhande, Addl Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs and JPCEC’s alumnus, who gave his best wishes to the students for the upcoming exams and shared his experiences from years of service in Arunachal Pradesh. He also highlighted the significance of integrity, discipline, and ethical conduct among the aspirants preparing for public services.

Of 14 weeks, the first two will be conducted in a hybrid format, followed by online mentoring, test practice, and guidance sessions. Over 45 aspirants have enrolled for the programme this year, with around 20 students attending the residential component at the RIWATCH campus.
