Speed up all pending school LPCs: DC to Education Dept

YUPIA, Jun 4: A coordination meeting of the Education Department, Papum Pare district, was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Lobsang Tsering at his conference hall here today to review key educational initiatives, administrative issues and academic performance across the district.

Addressing the gathering, the DC emphasized that punctuality, sincerity, dedication and transparency are the foundational pillars for every government employee, and urged all staff members to strictly adhere to these professional ethics.

Highlighting the importance of the Education Dept, he stated that teachers should look beyond standard textbooks and actively instill moral values, civic sense and ethics among students, as young minds are the easiest to mould.

The DC directed the department to expedite all pending school Land Possession Certificates (LPCs) by maintaining close liaison with the Land Department.

While appreciating the improvement in CBSE results, Tsering encouraged the department and teaching fraternity to put in greater effort to further elevate academic performance in the coming years.

On infrastructure development, the DC advised the department to maintain close coordination with executing agencies for civil works sanctioned under various heads such as BE, RE and SIDF. He emphasized that regular monitoring and coordination meetings are essential to ensure quality infrastructure development in schools.

He also noted that since the majority of education department employees belong to the district itself, the progress of the education sector directly contributes to the development of their own home district.

Moreover, the DC stressed the importance of cleanliness in educational institutions and informed that discussions would soon be initiated with the department for implementation of effective waste management and waste segregation practices in school campuses.

A detailed PPT presentation was made by Moromi Tang, DPC (ISSE), highlighting various departmental matters including school merger issues, pending LPCs, educational initiatives undertaken under the ISSE scheme, recent CBSE examination results, Pupil-Teacher Ratios (PTRs) and other important developments across the district.

During the meeting, Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to Govt Hr Sec Schools of Balijan, Kimin and Banderdewa, along with KGBV Sagalee, for achieving a 100 percent pass percentage in the recently concluded CBSE/AISSE examinations for the academic session 2025–26.
