ZIRO, Jun 10: In a significant boost to educational infrastructure and student welfare, Ziro-Hapoli MLA Hage Appa donated a 19-seater Winger school vehicle to Abotani Vidya Niketan, Old Ziro, on Wednesday.
The vehicle was formally handed over during a programme held on the school campus in the presence of local representatives, officials of the Arunachal Shiksha Vikas Samiti, school authorities, teachers, students and parents.
The donation fulfils a long-standing requirement of the institution and is expected to significantly improve transportation facilities for students. The vehicle will provide safe and reliable transport, particularly benefiting students travelling from different localities to attend classes.
Addressing the gathering, the lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to supporting educational institutions and promoting the holistic development of youth. He assured the school management of his continued cooperation and assistance for the institution’s growth and progress.
Highlighting the importance of value-based education, character-building and social responsibility, he also expressed concern over the growing menace of drug abuse. He urged students to stay away from drugs and called upon parents, teachers and community leaders to work collectively towards creating a healthy, educated and responsible society.
Appa further appealed to citizens to contribute actively towards educational advancement, social harmony and community development, stating that collective efforts are essential for securing a brighter future for the younger generation.
On behalf of the Arunachal Shiksha Vikas Samiti, its vice president Niri Chongrowju expressed gratitude to the MLA for his generous support towards education and public welfare. He also requested Appa to accept the role of Patron and Guardian of Abotani Vidya Niketan.
The school management, staff and students thanked the MLA for the contribution, describing it as a reflection of his commitment to education, youth empowerment and community development.
