Make focused and result-oriented efforts to improve academic outcomes in Loht district: DC to school heads

TEZU, Jun 10: Lohit Deputy Commissioner K N Damo, while taking a review of academic performance of schools for academic session 2025-26, exhorted the heads of schools and teachers to make focused and result-oriented efforts to improve academic outcomes in the district.

The DC exhorted this while chairing a district-level education review meeting at his office premises here on Tuesday after assessing the academic performance of schools and discussing measures for improving educational outcomes in the district.

Reviewing the performance, the DC emphasized the need for “remedial” classes for weak students, regular Parent-Teacher Meetings, timely completion of syllabus, close monitoring of students’ progress and better coordination among school authorities, teachers and parents.

He further called upon all schools to identify learning gaps at an early stage and provide necessary academic support to students so that the overall quality of education in Lohit district can be enhanced.

On the occasion, DDSE Lohit Tumngam Nyodu presented a detailed overview of the district’s education status, including the CBSE results for the academic session 2025–26. The district recorded a pass percentage of 64.79% in class X and 76.34% in class XII.

The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to strengthen the education system and improve the academic performance of students across the district. (DIPRO)
