LIKABALI, Jun 11: A comprehensive training programme on ERONET and the BLO App was conducted at the DC’s conference hall here in Lower Siang district today for Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), BLO Supervisors, Booth Level Officers (BLOs), IT staff, dealing assistants concerned with election-related works, and other electoral officials.
The training programme was organized as part of the ongoing preparations and capacity building initiatives aimed at strengthening electoral services and ensuring efficient electoral roll management.
Addressing the participants, Jannes Mary Tayeng, Assistant Commissioner (Election), highlighted the importance of proper understanding and effective utilization of ERONET and the BLO App in maintaining accurate electoral records and delivering transparent electoral services. He emphasized that regular training and technical upgradation are essential for smooth implementation of election-related activities at all levels.
The training was imparted virtually by State level master trainers, Dr Sandip Banerjee and Sougata Maity. The sessions focused on enhancing the operational efficiency and technical understanding of officials involved in electoral roll management and related processes.
Participants were informed that the training programme would continue in phases.
Further, all AEROs were requested to coordinate with the BLOs under their respective jurisdictions and compile any queries or issues related to ERONET and the BLO App. Such queries may be submitted in writing prior to the training sessions so that they can be effectively addressed by the master trainers. Participants were also encouraged to directly raise and clarify their doubts during the interactive sessions.
The programme witnessed active participation from officials and staff associated with election management across the district. (DIPRO)
