ITANAGAR, Jun 13: As part of preparation for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026, a comprehensive hands-on training programme for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and election officials of 13-Itanagar (ST) Assembly constituency was held at the mini secretariat conference hall, Naharlagun on Friday.
The programme brought together senior election officials, including Papum Pare DC-cum-DEO Lobsang Tsering, ERO Dani Riknag, AEROs Khoda Bath, Tamo Dadda and Taba Milka, along with master trainer Dr Sandip Banerjee and election officer Nabam Tadap.
In his address, the DEO underscored the importance of the Special Intensive Revision exercise in strengthening the electoral process and ensuring that every eligible citizen is properly enrolled. He also assured BLOs of full support from the district administration’s end during field operations.
Dr Sandip Banerjee led the technical session and guided participants through the procedures, workflows and responsibilities involved in the revision exercise.
BLOs actively participated in interactive discussions and sought clarifications on field-level challenges and procedural matters.
The programme ended with a brief speech by the ERO, followed by distribution of enumeration forms and other necessary materials to the BLOs. (DIPRO)
