KHONSA, Jun 13: The United Kothin Students’ Union (UKSU) successfully organized a career counselling programme for the students of Kothin villages at NBF Hall here today, bringing together students, grassroots leaders, and government officials for an engaging and informative session on career planning and personal development.
The programme featured distinguished resource persons comprising Namneet Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tirap; Ponung Tasing, DIPRO Tirap; and Dr Runcha Thinra, Medical Officer RBSK, who shared their valuable experiences and insights on higher education opportunities, career choices, and future prospects across various fields.
Drawing from their own journeys and experiences in competitive examinations such as UPSC, APPSCCE, and NEET, the speakers encouraged students to pursue their aspirations with determination, discipline, and confidence.
The session also highlighted entrepreneurship as a promising avenue for the youth of Tirap, emphasizing innovation, self-employment, and local enterprise development.
An insightful session on sex education and adolescent health awareness was conducted by Dr Thinra, focusing on informed decision-making, personal well-being, and responsible behaviour among young people.
As part of the programme, students who successfully passed out Class X and XII examinations were felicitated by the Union, in recognition of their academic achievements, inspiring their peers to strive for excellence.
The programme served as a meaningful platform to guide and empower young minds, helping them make informed decisions about their future and unlock their full potential.
