ITANAGAR, Jun 17: CSIR-North East Institute of Science & Technology Branch Laboratory, Itanagar organized a one day Science motivation cum demonstration program at the institute premises in Naharlagun today.
About 30 students along with teacher led by Dinesh Kumar of Bunny’s Fantasy World School, Itanagar attended the day long programme.
The resources person, Dr Ravindra Rawal, Scientist-E, CSIR-NEIST, Branch, Itanagar, delivered a career counselling lecture for the students on “Career Opportunities and Future Perspectives-A Roadmap for Students.” He highlighted diverse career opportunities and future prospects in engineering, medicine, pharmaceutical sciences, legal services, civil services, management, and scientific research.
Students were introduced to emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, data science, and renewable energy, along with higher education opportunities through INSPIRE Fellowship, PMRF, CSIR-UGC NET and ICMR fellowships. \
They further visited different labs for demonstration of practical experiment and saw sophisticated lab equipment, besides getting hands-on training on cultivation of mushroom.
Earlier, in his welcome address, Dr Chandan Tamuly, Sc In-Charge, CSIR-NEIST Br Itanagar, gave a brief introduction about the institute, and the objective of the programme. He also motivated the students to study the basic science and gave idea about different scopes.
