NAMSAI, Jun 18: The first quarter meeting of the District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) was held at the DC’s conference hall here today, with local MLA Zingnu Namchoom chairing the meet.
The meeting reviewed the progress and implementation status of various developmental and welfare schemes being implemented across the district. Discussions focused on effective monitoring, timely execution of projects, and addressing issues related to service delivery and public welfare.
Speaking at the meeting, the MLA stressed the need for greater inter-departmental coordination and urged all departments to maintain transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the execution of developmental activities. He emphasized that the benefits of government schemes must reach the intended beneficiaries in a timely manner.
In his speech, Namsai Deputy Commissioner C R Khampa highlighted the key achievements and challenges faced by various departments and called for active cooperation among all stakeholders to strengthen monitoring mechanisms and improve service delivery across the district.
Earlier, the District Planning Officer outlined the objectives of the meeting and highlighted the importance of periodic reviews to ensure effective implementation of government programmes and schemes.
The meeting was also attended by ZPC Sujana Namchoom, ZPMs of Chongkham, Upper Lekang and Ningroo, Heads of Offices, and other officials.
Moreover, the members deliberated on various sectoral issues and resolved to work collectively towards accelerating developmental initiatives and ensuring the effective implementation of government welfare programmes in the district. (DIPRO)
