L/Siang achieves notable progress in CBSE results, adopts key resolutions to further up academic outcome across dist

LIKABALI, Jun 19: Lower Siang district has registered a notable progress in the Classes X & XII CBSE examinations in the academic session 2025-26, with the overall pass percentage in the district scaling up by 25.45%.

This was presented during a district level coordination meeting of Heads of Schools, Block and District Functionaries held at the DC’s conference hall here today under the chairmanship of ADC (HQs) Mokar Riba, in presence of Tage Kakki, DDSE Lower Siang. It also adopted several key resolutions to further boost the academic outcome of schools across the district.

The district’s pass percentage increased from 41.44% in 2024–25 to 66.89% in 2025–26. Outstanding performances were recorded by GSS Kangku (100%), GSS Lipu (87.50%), GSS Dipa (82.35%), and several other schools.

For the Class XII CBSE examination, the district achieved a pass percentage of 71.81%, with notable performances by KGBV Seren (100%), GHSS Gensi (93.75%), GHSS Likabali (76.85%), and GHSS Telam (75.86%).

Addressing the gathering, the DDSE urged all Principals, Headmasters, and Block Functionaries to strengthen coordination and continue working towards improving the educational standards of the district.

Several important resolutions were adopted during the meeting, including strict adherence to the academic calendar, setting school-wise board examination targets, strengthening foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN), ensuring 100% Aadhaar enrolment and student bank accounts, timely submission of infrastructure proposals, and improved academic monitoring and data management.

Earlier, Dajo Ngomle, Block Education Officer (Academic), presented the district's academic performance and emphasized the need for collective efforts to further enhance learning outcomes across all schools.

In his concluding remarks, the ADC congratulated all Heads of Schools, teachers, and education functionaries for significant improvement in board examination results and encouraged them to sustain the momentum. He assured continued support from the District Administration for initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of education in the district. (DIPRO)
