LIKABALI, Jun 22: Aimed at equipping government officials and staff with fire prevention and emergency response measures, the Fire and Emergency Services Department, Likabali conducted a Fire Safety Awareness and Demonstration Programme at the DC’s office complex here in Lower Siang district today.
The event was led by Station Fire Officer (SFO) Duge Ete and his team, in presence of ADC Likabali Mokar Riba, AC Jannes Mary Tayeng, DDMO Tarik Nyitan, and officers/officials from various departments.
During the programme, the Fire and Emergency Services team demonstrated essential fire safety measures, including the proper use of fire extinguishers and techniques for handling fire-related emergencies. Participants actively took part in a live fire demonstration, gaining practical knowledge on responding effectively during fire incidents.
Speaking on the occasion, ADC Riba appreciated the department for conducting the informative programme. He emphasized that such awareness and practical demonstrations are crucial for ensuring safety in workplaces and daily life, and encouraged officials to apply the knowledge gained during the training.
The programme concluded with an interactive session, reinforcing the importance of preparedness, vigilance, and adherence to fire safety protocols. (DIPRO)
