BOMDILA, Jun 24: The District Task Force (DTF) conducted a meeting on Routine Immunization (RI) at the DC’s office conference hall here today, with West Kameng Deputy Commissioner Dr Dilip Kumar chairing the meet.
Speaking at the meeting, the DC urged all concerned departments and members of the District Health Society (DHS) entrusted with responsibilities under the National Health Mission (NHM) to remain committed to their assigned roles and ensure timely implementation of Routine Immunization activities for achieving improved health outcomes.
Highlighting the importance of immunization, the DC emphasised that timely vaccination of children in the 0–5 years age group remains crucial for safeguarding child health and reducing preventable diseases. He stressed the need for submission of accurate and authentic data in a timely manner to facilitate effective monitoring and planning.
During the meeting, monthly progress reports and achievements under the RI programme were reviewed through a detailed PPT presentation.
Speaking on the occasion, West Kameng District Medical Officer Dr RD Thongchi advised frontline workers to intensify vaccination outreach efforts and maintain family-wise registers to ensure error-free record keeping and improved tracking of beneficiaries.
The meeting also highlighted the forthcoming Polio Vaccination campaign scheduled for June 26, and all stakeholders were urged to ensure maximum community mobilisation and participation to achieve complete coverage of eligible children.
Further, the DC emphasized coordinated efforts among Health, ICDS, Education, and field functionaries to strengthen awareness and ensure that no eligible child is left out of the immunization drive.
