DTFI holds meeting-cum-orientation on IPPI program

DAPORIJO, Jun 25: The District Task Force for Immunization (DTFI) conducted a meeting-cum-orientation on the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) at the DC’s office chamber here today, with Upper Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Tasso Gambo chairing the programme.

Besides Tasso Gambo, who is also the DTFI Chairman, the meeting was attended by the ZPC, District Medical Officer, District RCH Officer, DDSE, DD ICDS, DIPRO, Paediatrician, District Surveillance Officer (IDSP), Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital, representatives from WHO, UNDP, VHAI, medical officers of CHCs/PHCs, and other health functionaries.

During the meeting, an orientation on the IPPI was carried out to strengthen preparedness and ensure effective implementation of the campaign across the district. The participants deliberated on strategies to achieve maximum coverage, strengthen routine immunization, enhance community awareness, and ensure that every eligible child is reached during the campaign.

In his address, the DC emphasized the importance of coordination among all departments and stakeholders to make the immunization drive a success. He urged all concerned officers and frontline workers to carry out their responsibilities with dedication so that no eligible child is left out of the vaccination programme.

Health officials also highlighted the significance of maintaining high immunization coverage to keep the district free from vaccine-preventable diseases and reiterated the need for active community participation in the campaign.

The meeting concluded with a collective commitment from all stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization Programme throughout the district.
