CoSAAP appeals for humanitarian aid to Poosa flash flood victims

Itanagar, Jun 26: The Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of life and widespread devastation caused by the flash flood that struck Poosa village under Yazali circle in Keyi Panyor district on June 24.

In a condolence message, CoSAAP described the disaster, reportedly triggered by heavy rainfall, as a tragic natural calamity that has left several families devastated and the entire area engulfed in grief.

Calling for collective support and solidarity, the organisation appealed to government employees across the state, particularly those serving in Keyi Panyor district and those hailing from the district, to contribute generously towards relief and rehabilitation efforts. Contributions may be made either in cash or in kind according to individual capacity.

"At this critical juncture, our brothers and sisters of Poosa village need our collective support, compassion and generosity more than ever. Every contribution, whether small or large, can make a meaningful difference in helping affected families rebuild their lives," the appeal stated.

CoSAAP informed that all financial assistance collected through its Keyi Panyor district unit would be deposited into the Deputy Commissioner's Relief Fund for relief, rehabilitation and welfare of the affected families.

The organisation also urged its district unit office bearers to coordinate with Heads of Departments to mobilise support and ensure effective collection of relief materials and donations.

Reaffirming the values of compassion, service and brotherhood, CoSAAP called upon government employees and citizens alike to stand united with the victims and extend every possible assistance to help restore hope and normalcy in the flood-ravaged village.
