MLA Kaso assures early action on damaged Puroik Colony school bridge

Itanagar, Jun 26: Responding swiftly to concerns over the precarious condition of the footbridge connecting Government Upper Primary School at Puroik Colony, Pappu Nallah, local MLA Techi Kaso on Friday visited the site along with Itanagar Capital Deputy Commissioner Toko Babu, IMC Ward-13 Corporator Tamuk Tagiang, and officials from the district administration.

The inspection comes a day after Corporator Tamuk Tagiang raised the issue, drawing attention to the daily risks faced by hundreds of schoolchildren and local residents who rely on the fragile bridge as their only access to the school and Puroik Colony.

During the visit, the MLA personally assessed the damaged bridge and the surrounding area, where continuous erosion and soil instability have severely weakened the structure. After witnessing the condition firsthand, Kaso assured that the matter would be taken up on priority and that necessary steps would be initiated at the earliest to ensure the safety of commuters, particularly students.
