PASIGHAT, Jun 26: In a gesture aimed at improving patient comfort and welfare, the State Bank of India (SBI), Pasighat Branch, has donated three sets of airport chairs to Padma Shri awardee Yanung Jamoh Lego's herbal clinic at GTC, Pasighat.

The chairs were formally handed over on Thursday by a team from SBI Pasighat led by Chief Branch Manager Arun Kumar, who personally visited the clinic to present the furniture to the renowned traditional herbal practitioner.

The donation was made under SBI's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, keeping in view the growing number of patients and visitors who travel from different parts of the country to seek treatment at the clinic. The newly donated airport chairs are expected to ease the inconvenience faced by patients, many of whom are elderly or suffering from chronic ailments and often have to wait for long hours before consultation.

Speaking on the occasion, Arun Kumar said the chairs would provide much-needed seating facilities for patients and attendants visiting the clinic. He noted that Yanung Jamoh Lego has earned widespread recognition for her affordable and effective herbal treatment, attracting people from across India and abroad.

Lego is widely respected for her contribution to traditional Adi herbal medicine. For more than three decades, she has been treating patients suffering from chronic and complex health conditions through indigenous herbal remedies passed down through generations.

Her work has brought national recognition to Arunachal Pradesh's traditional healing practices, with thousands of people continuing to visit her clinic every year in search of alternative treatment options.

The SBI initiative has been welcomed by patients and local residents, who said the additional seating arrangement would significantly improve convenience for visitors at the increasingly busy herbal clinic.
