Lungla honours meritorious students

LUNGLA, Jun 28: The Dakpa Pangchin Employees’ Welfare Association (DEWA) successfully organized a ‘Meritorious Felicitation Ceremony’ to honour the toppers and second toppers of Class X to Class XII for the academic session 2025–26, along with a Career Counselling Programme, reaffirming its commitment to promoting quality education and empowering the youth.

The event was graced by local MLA Tsering Lhamu as chief guest. Among the distinguished guests were the Deputy Commander, 190 Mountain Brigade, Colonel M Upadhyay, and the Commandant of 67 Battalion, SSB, whose presence added significance to the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, the MLA congratulated the meritorious students for their remarkable achievements, and encouraged them to remain focused, disciplined, and dedicated in pursuing their aspirations. She underscored the importance of education as the foundation for personal growth and nation-building, urging students to dream big and contribute meaningfully to society.

The dignitaries applauded DEWA for its commendable initiative in recognizing academic excellence and creating a platform to inspire young minds.
