APB&OCWWB extends relief to flood victims

YAZALI, Jul 1: Arunachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB) Chairman Rolen Dagam visited the flood relief camp at the NEEPCO Colony in Yazali and interacted with families affected by the recent floods.

Dagam was accompanied by representatives of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, All Arunachal Pradesh Labour Union, Arunachal Pradesh Trade Union Federation, All Arunachal Pradesh Workers Union, and ZPM Tadam Haging Cherom.

During the visit, the team met flood-affected families and extended humanitarian assistance on behalf of the Board.

Relief materials, including labour kits, blankets, kitchen sets, raincoats, umbrellas and other essential items, were distributed to registered building and other construction workers affected by the floods.

Speaking on the occasion, Dagam said that although there is no specific provision under the Welfare Board to provide such assistance, the relief was extended purely on humanitarian grounds to support people facing hardship due to the disaster.

He reiterated the Board’s commitment to standing with workers and their families during times of crisis and expressed hope that the assistance would provide some relief to those affected by the floods.
