Naharlagun, Jul 1: The Arunachal Electronic and Digital Media Association (AEDMA) in collaboration with the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), GoAP, organized a one-day workshop on Company and GST matters for its members at Soochna Bhawan in Papu Nallah.
The workshop, which was a prelude to AEDMA’s 14th Foundation Day, aimed at sensitizing digital media house owners and management representatives on various statutory compliances related to company registration, Goods and Services Tax (GST) and income tax regulations.
Special emphasis was laid on the timely filing of board resolutions, GSTs and income tax returns in compliance with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, which remains a key criterion for empanelment and renewal of empanelment with the State Government.
AEDMA's Financial Advisor and Senior Chartered Accountant Ramesh Chandra Roy delivered an insightful session on company law, GST provisions, taxation and regulatory compliance, while addressing queries from participants.
Director of Information and Public Relations Gijum Tali appreciated AEDMA for organizing the unique and informative workshop. He stressed for unity and cooperation among media bodies to strengthen the media fraternity in the state.
Deputy Director of IPR Denga Bengia briefed the participants on the Arunachal Pradesh Print and Digital Advertisement Policy 2025, highlighting the criteria for empanelment of media houses and accreditation of journalists. He urged media organizations to maintain high standards of journalism and ensure quality news content.
AEDMA president JT Tagam expressed gratitude to the Directorate of Information and Public Relations for extending its support in organizing the workshop while inviting media professionals to attend the AEDMA Conclave 2026, scheduled to be held on July 29 at the State Banquet Hall, Itanagar marking the Association’s 14th Foundation Day.
