Itanagar, Jul 2: Six people injured in a road accident at Dambuk in Lower Dibang Valley district were provided timely emergency care and safely transported to hospital after a swift response by the 108 emergency ambulance service.
According to EMRI Green Health Services, the accident occurred on Wednesday at around 12:15 pm when a truck reportedly lost control and crashed into the boundary wall of a local police station in Dambuk.
After receiving the emergency call, the 108 ambulance (AR01N8387) reached the accident site within five minutes. The emergency team found six injured male passengers and immediately began assessing their condition.
Following standard triage procedures, the team prioritised the most critically injured patient, who was conscious but had low blood oxygen levels and bleeding injuries on his hand and knee.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Akke Perme and Pilot Bang Lego conducted a primary assessment using the ABCD protocol (Airway, Breathing, Circulation and Disability), controlled the bleeding, and, with assistance from local residents, shifted the patient onto a stretcher.
The remaining five victims sustained minor injuries and were administered first aid after thorough assessments confirmed there were no life-threatening conditions.
During transportation, the ambulance team continued pre-hospital emergency care while monitoring the patients' vital signs at five-minute intervals. The critically injured patient was stabilised and shifted safely to the District Hospital in Roing for further treatment.
EMRI Green Health Services said the prompt response and professional handling of the emergency ensured that all six victims received immediate medical attention and were transported safely for advanced treatment.
The organisation also commended its EMTs and ambulance pilots for their round-the-clock service across Arunachal Pradesh. The free 108 emergency ambulance service, operated by EMRI Green Health Services, was launched in the state on June 21, 2021 by Chief Minister Pema Khandu and has since served more than 37,000 beneficiaries across Arunachal Pradesh.
