RK Mission to establish higher education institutes at Aalo, Narottam Nagar: Khandu

Itanagar, Jul 2: Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday announced that the Ramakrishna Mission will soon establish Institutes of Higher Education at Aalo (West Siang) and Narottam Nagar (in Tirap district), a move aimed at expanding access to quality higher education in the state.

The Chief Minister’s announcement followed a meeting he had with a delegation of the Ramakrishna Mission led by Swami Bodhasarananda, Assistant General Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math.

Sharing the development, Khandu said the proposed institutes would mark a significant step towards strengthening higher education infrastructure in Arunachal Pradesh.

Education Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona, who was also present in the meeting, said the discussions focused on establishing the institutes of higher education at Aalo and Narottam Nagar to provide greater access to quality higher education for students in the state.

He noted that the Ramakrishna Mission has a long and respected legacy of educational and social service in Arunachal Pradesh, adding that the proposed institutions are expected to promote academic excellence, value-based education and the holistic development of the state’s young people.

Welcoming the initiative, Aalo East MLA and Minister Kento Jini thanked the Chief Minister and the Education Minister for their commitment to strengthening higher education in the state.

He said the proposed Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Higher Education at Aalo would create greater opportunities for local youth and bring quality education closer to home. Jini also expressed appreciation to the Ramakrishna Mission for its continued contribution to educational excellence and service in Arunachal Pradesh.
