Sacred Nangpai Choikor Chenmo procession reaches Bomdila

BOMDILA, July 3: Hundreds of devotees participated in the sacred Nangpai Choikor Chenmo procession, which reached Bomdila on Friday after commencing from Rupa Monastery.

Organised by the Sherap Sangpo Sangha, the spiritual procession was led by Rev Gontse Khensur Geshi Thupten Khunphel and proceeded through Dahung before culminating at Buddha Park in Bomdila. MLA Tenzin Nyima Glow joined devotees during the march from Dahung.

Devotees chanted prayers, carried sacred images and offered prayers for the long life, good health and continued guidance of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

The procession also conveyed messages of peace, compassion, harmony and universal brotherhood in keeping with Buddhist teachings.

At Buddha Park, monks, community leaders and devotees participated in religious observances, describing the event as a spiritually enriching experience that strengthened faith and reinforced the importance of preserving Buddhist traditions.

The Dharma Yatra will continue in the coming days, bringing together devotees from across the region to pray for peace, harmony and the well-being of all sentient beings.
