Itanagar, Jul 4: A 22.9-kg Golden Mahseer has been caught and safely released in the Kameng River in Arunachal Pradesh, according to sources in the Arunachal Tourism Department.
The catch is believed to be the largest Golden Mahseer ever recorded in the state, marking a significant milestone for Arunachal Pradesh's angling and conservation community.
The massive fish was caught by angler Hilot Mugli and released back into the river after being documented, reflecting the growing commitment to responsible catch-and-release angling and conservation of freshwater biodiversity.
