Badonlum Tawsik assumes charge as Tirap DC

KHONSA, Jul 6: Badonlum Tawsik, APCS (AG), formally assumed charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Tirap on Monday, marking a new chapter in the district's administration.

Tawsik took over the post at the Deputy Commissioner's Office in Khonsa in pursuance of Government Order No. PERS-12012/18/2021/198 dated July 2, 2026. He succeeds Techu Aran, who retired upon attaining the age of superannuation.

On his arrival, the new Deputy Commissioner was accorded a warm welcome by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Khonsa, along with heads of departments and officials from the Deputy Commissioner's Office and other district offices. The officers and staff extended their best wishes as he assumed responsibility for leading the district administration.

Before his new assignment, Tawsik served as the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Deomali, where he was recognized for his dedicated public service and administrative leadership.

His appointment also marks a significant milestone in the state's administrative history. Tawsik is the first Deputy Commissioner from the Kaman (Miju) Mishmi community of Arunachal Pradesh and only the third officer from the community to join the Arunachal Pradesh Civil Service (APCS), making his elevation a moment of pride and inspiration.

The district administration has informed that all official, demi-official, and confidential communications requiring the personal attention of the Deputy Commissioner should henceforth be addressed to: Badonlum Tawsik, APCS (AG), Deputy Commissioner, Tirap District, Arunachal Pradesh.
