Aini Taki Talo receives national blood donation awards

PASIGHAT, Jul 6: Aini Taki Talo, founder and chairman of the Ayang Blood Donation Organisation, has been conferred with the 'Rakt Seva Samman' and 'Iconic Blood Donor' awards in recognition of her contribution to voluntary blood donation.

The awards were presented during the International Blood Donation Festival-cum-Conference and Workshop held on Sunday at Gopal Narayan Singh University, Jamuhar in Rohtas district of Bihar.

The citation described Talo as the "Pride of Blood Donation" for her humanitarian service and dedication to promoting voluntary blood donation.

The awards were presented by Bipin Kumar Chaudhary, Director, CID, Government of Bihar, and Dr Ashutosh Kumar Singh of the BHU Blood Bank, Varanasi.

Expressing gratitude, Talo dedicated the awards to voluntary blood donors, supporters and members of the Ayang Blood Donation Organisation and appealed to more people, especially youth, to become regular blood donors.

The organisation has earned recognition for organising blood donation camps, creating awareness and responding to emergency blood requirements across the region.
