ITANAGAR, Jul 7: The Arunachal Anti-Corruption Sena (AACS) has demanded suspension of the ongoing Flood Management and Border Areas Programme (FM&BAP) project at Seijosa in Pakke Kessang district, alleging irregularities in its execution.
The organisation claimed that its monitoring of the project had revealed serious technical deficiencies, poor-quality workmanship and alleged violations of contractual obligations.
Expressing concern over the possibility of financial irregularities, AACS urged the authorities to withhold the release of the second instalment of project funds until the matter is examined.
The organisation also demanded an independent technical and financial inquiry into the alleged irregularities and called for all substandard works to be reconstructed at the contractor’s own expense if the allegations are substantiated.
