Itanagar, Jul 10: Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Friday met Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and discussed measures to promote adventure tourism in Arunachal Pradesh, besides exploring the possibility of hosting the upcoming International Tourism Mart (ITM) in the state.
The Chief Minister shared the details of the meeting through a social media post, stating that discussions focused on strengthening Arunachal Pradesh's tourism potential and enhancing its visibility as a premier adventure tourism destination.
On Thursday, Khandu called on BJP National President Nitin Nabin and discussed various developmental initiatives and organisational activities of the party.
During the meeting, Nabin expressed deep concern over the devastation caused by the recent heavy rains in Arunachal Pradesh and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families. He also expressed solidarity with those affected by the floods and reiterated his concern for their well-being, relief and rehabilitation efforts.
