Centre approves 17 CRIF road projects worth Rs 611.17 crore for Arunachal

Itanagar, Jul 10: The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has approved 17 road projects worth Rs 611.17 crore under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) 2026-27 for Arunachal Pradesh, giving a major boost to the frontier state’s road infrastructure.

Announcing the approval, Chief Minister Pema Khandu said the projects mark another significant milestone in Arunachal Pradesh’s development journey.

He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his continued support and visionary leadership, and thanked Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari for strengthening the state’s road infrastructure.

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein described the approval as a significant boost to Arunachal Pradesh’s infrastructure and development.

He said the projects would improve road connectivity, enhance access to remote areas and create new opportunities for economic growth and public welfare across the state.

Mein also thanked the Prime Minister for his commitment to the development of the Northeast and expressed gratitude to Gadkari for approving the projects.

He said the Centre's continued support is accelerating Arunachal Pradesh's progress and paving the way for a more connected, prosperous and resilient future.
