Final batch of Post Matric Scholarships disbursed to 21,500 students

ITANAGAR, Jul 10: The Directorate of Higher and Technical Education has disbursed the second and final batch of Post Matric Scholarships for the academic year 2025-26 to around 21,500 students through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.

According to Higher and Technical Education Director Dr Milorai Modi, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt of India, recently released Rs 51.83 crore as the second and final instalment of scholarship funds. Following receipt of the state government’s matching share, the department completed the disbursement on Friday, and the amount has started reflecting in the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.

The department also informed that more than 1,650 students have been identified with bank account or Aadhaar-related issues, preventing the transfer of scholarship funds. Affected students have been advised to check the details of the discrepancies on the department's website www.apdhte.nic.in and rectify them at the earliest to facilitate the release of their scholarships.
