Khonsa, Jul 14: Newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of Tirap, Badonlum Tawsik, chaired his first coordination meeting with Heads of Departments (HoDs) and officials of the Deputy Commissioner's Office at the DC Conference Hall here on Tuesday.
The meeting commenced with an introduction session during which HoDs introduced themselves, laying the foundation for greater coordination and collaboration among various departments of the district administration.
Addressing the officers, the Deputy Commissioner emphasised the importance of discipline, professionalism and punctuality in government service. He directed all officers and staff to adhere strictly to office timings and discharge their duties with sincerity, dedication and accountability to ensure timely and efficient delivery of public services.
Calling for a proactive and result-oriented work culture, Tawsik urged departments to move beyond complacency and focus on achieving tangible outcomes. He stressed that government offices must remain responsive to the needs of the people and deliver services in a transparent, efficient and citizen-friendly manner.
Highlighting the importance of inter-departmental coordination, the DC said close cooperation among departments is essential for the effective implementation of government schemes and developmental programmes across Tirap district, ensuring that their benefits reach the people in a timely manner.
The meeting concluded with an interactive discussion on departmental functioning, administrative challenges and measures to strengthen coordination.
