Khonsa Battalion marks World Youth Skills Day with career guidance prog

Khonsa, Jul 16: The Khonsa Battalion of the Assam Rifles organised a career guidance programme at Government High School, Lazu, Tirap district, on July 15 to mark World Youth Skills Day, with the objective of helping students make informed career choices and encouraging skill-based education.

During the programme, resource persons highlighted career opportunities in the Armed Forces, government services, higher education, vocational training and various skill development programmes. Students were also encouraged to set clear career goals, develop discipline and confidence, and continuously upgrade their skills to meet the demands of an increasingly competitive world.

The interactive session enabled students to seek guidance on career planning, competitive examinations, educational pathways and employment prospects. Participants actively engaged with the speakers, making the programme informative and inspiring.

A total of 50 students, including 31 boys and 19 girls, participated in the programme. The initiative reflected the Khonsa Battalion's continued commitment to empowering the youth of Tirap district through education, mentorship and awareness programmes, while encouraging them to pursue meaningful careers and contribute to nation-building.
