Itanagar, Jul 30: Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein has called upon the youth, filmmakers, storytellers and content creators of Arunachal Pradesh to participate in the ‘Gems of India’ Challenge on the #MyWAVES platform and highlight the state's rich cultural heritage, traditions and natural beauty to the national audience.
In a social media post, Mein described Arunachal Pradesh as "a land of extraordinary stories, rich traditions, vibrant cultures, breathtaking landscapes and inspiring people," adding that every district possesses a unique identity waiting to be discovered.
Encouraging creative participation, he urged aspiring filmmakers and digital creators to produce engaging videos showcasing the hidden gems of the state.
Participants are required to create a 1–3 minute video highlighting Arunachal Pradesh's unique heritage, culture, landscapes or local stories. Winning entries will receive prizes of up to Rs 5 lakh.
The submission window for the #GemsOfIndia Challenge will remain open from August 1 to August 31, 2026. The initiative aims to promote India's diverse cultural and tourism heritage through creative storytelling by citizens across the country.
