ITANAGAR, Jul 31: As of its ongoing outreach initiative to extend quality healthcare and Ayurvedic wellness services to remote and underserved communities of Lower Dibang Valley district, the Arogya Panchakarma-based Wellness Centre, RIWATCH successfully conducted a free medical camp at Jia in LDV district.
Led by Medical Officer of RIWATCH Arogya Centre, Dr Techi Yumyi along with her team, the camp aimed to reach communities with limited access to regular healthcare services, while also raising awareness about the benefits of Panchakarma therapy as a safe and effective system of traditional healing.
A total of 39 villagers received free medical treatment during the camp, out of over 50 villagers participated. The patients comprised those suffering from chronic high blood pressure, arthritis, and gastric ailments, with most being above 60 years of age.
Villagers received free medical consultation and health check-ups, and Ayurvedic medicines were distributed to patients free of cost.
During the interactions with the villagers, the MO explained the benefits of Panchakarma therapy, highlighting its role in preventive healthcare, pain management, and overall wellbeing. She encouraged patients to consider Panchakarma treatment, assuring them of its effectiveness and freedom from side effects. Patients were also counselled on adopting a healthy lifestyle and maintaining a proper, balanced diet as part of long-term wellness.
Through such outreach camps, RIWATCH Arogya Centre continues its commitment to bringing traditional and holistic healthcare closer to the doorsteps of communities in the region. This was the third consecutive free medical camp conducted by RIWATCH, following earlier camps held at Abango and Houpahar in Lower Dibang Valley District on 27/07/26 and 29/07/26 respectively.
