ITANAGAR, Jul 31: Dera Natung Govt College (DNGC) today accorded a warm send-off to noted academician and retiring Principal Dr MQ Khan at the college premises here on his superannuation, after rendering 37 years of service.
Dr Kumar Tok, Vice Principal of the college, assumed the charge of Principal DNGC, replacing the incumbent Dr Khan.
Dr Khan’s illustrious career as an educator in the State began on 16th October, 1989 when he joined as a lecturer in English in the Govt College Itanagar, now known as Dera Natung Govt College, Itanagar and served the department of English till 17th September, 2017.
Later, he joined as Principal in the Govt College Doimukh and served the college with utmost sincerity. He joined the DNGC as a Principal 6th January, 2021 and ended his tenure on 31st July, 2026. In his long and illustrious career, Dr Khan earned many public accolades, various awards and published a number of books and research articles.
The new DNGC Principal, Dr Tok has been serving the Department of Education, GoAP after he joined as a lecturer on 16th July, 2006. Earlier, he worked as a Principal In-charge in the DNGC from 24/09/2020 to 05/01/2021.
