LIKABALI, Aug 3: A meeting in connection with the Zilla Panchayat Development Plan (ZPDP) 2026 was held today at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Likabali, under the chairmanship of Nyachi Koyu, ZPM Koyu Circle, in presence of Mokar Riba, District Panchayat Development Officer (DPDO) Lower Siang.
The meeting was attended by all ZPMs, heads of line departments, Panchayat officials and other concerned officials.
Speaking at the meeting, the DPDO advised the ZPMs to maintain close coordination and regular interaction with the concerned line departments for effective planning and implementation of developmental activities.
He emphasized that better coordination between the Panchayati Raj Institutions and line departments is essential for addressing local needs and accelerating the overall development of Lower Siang district.
A PPT presentation was made by the concerned Panchayat Technical Assistant (PTA), providing an overview of the ZPDP’2026 planning process. Representatives from various line departments also presented their respective development plans and proposed activities, explaining the priorities and initiatives planned for the district.
The ZPMs actively participated in the discussion and shared their views, suggestions and development priorities for their respective areas. The deliberations focused on ensuring that local needs and grassroots-level priorities are appropriately incorporated into the ZPDP’2026.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on convergence, coordination and participatory planning among Panchayati Raj Institutions and line departments for effective implementation of development programmes and sustainable development of Lower Siang district. (DIPRO)
