ITANAGAR, Aug 7: Promoting women entrepreneurship and self-reliance, the 'She Rise Café' was inaugurated at the 3rd India Reserve Battalion (IRBn) Headquarters in Seijosa, Pakke Kessang district, on Friday.
The café is managed by three women from the 3rd IRBn family—Tanyang Mina, Hibu Mamung and Agi Doke. The initiative aims to provide affordable, hygienic and quality food while creating a model of women-led entrepreneurship. It is expected to serve IRBn personnel, local residents and visitors alike.
Inaugurating the café, Health & Family Welfare Minister Biyuram Wahge lauded the initiative as a significant step towards women empowerment.
Congratulating the 3rd IRBn team, the Minister said the name 'She Rise' aptly reflects the strength, resilience and aspirations of women. He noted that Seijosa has long lacked quality dining facilities and expressed confidence that the café would benefit not only IRBn personnel but also the people of Seijosa and the wider Pakke Kessang district.
Wahge also said that road connectivity in the area is steadily improving and assured that the existing electricity issues would be addressed soon.
Inspector General of Police (Operations) Apur Bitin congratulated the café team on behalf of the Police Headquarters and appreciated the 3rd IRBn's initiative. He encouraged police personnel to continue serving with dedication, professionalism and discipline while supporting welfare initiatives.
Pakke Kessang Superintendent of Police Swati Singh said the concept of 'She Rise Café' is inspired by the vital contribution of women to Arunachal Pradesh's economy and society. She said the venture reflects the spirit of women empowerment while creating opportunities for entrepreneurship and economic self-reliance.
Commandant of 3rd IRBn Manish Shaurya said the café was established to promote women entrepreneurship and provide affordable, hygienic and quality food to battalion personnel as well as the people of Seijosa and Pakke Kessang. He expressed confidence that it would evolve into a sustainable welfare initiative benefiting both the IRBn family and the local community.
